"The Bulb Project" Spreads Christmas Spirit Inside Rockland Ridge
December 15, 2021
The holidays are a special time of year at Rockland Ridge. We love to not only spend this time with our residents but with our community as well. Being able to spread the holiday spirit outside our skilled nursing facility is a privilege and speaks to our core values of embodying a Culture of Care.
Thank you to our friends at Amedisys Hospice for reaching out and getting involved with our residents during this holiday season. They came to our facility to do a special activity with us called "The Bulb Project." During this Christmas activity, our residents were graciously given all the supplies to create beautiful one-of-a-kind ornaments to keep or share with their loved ones.
Hospice Liaison, Kim King, made our time together unforgettable. While we were creating our ornaments, we reminisced on memories of their past holiday seasons growing up. We talked about their family traditions and what matters most during the holiday season. To wrap up our time together, we sang Christmas carols and showed off our beautiful creations with one another.
We can't thank Amedisys Hospice enough for visiting our facility and bringing peace and joy into our residents' lives. We love this special time with our community and hope to do something again soon. Thank you from everyone at Rockland Ridge. We hope you have a happy holiday!
