Nourishing Our Healthcare Heroes: Rockland Ridge's Appreciation Luncheon
April 22, 2024
At Rockland Ridge we pride ourselves on the Culture of Care we bring to our local community, our patients, and their loved ones; but, it is not without the help of some very important support systems. We want to take this time to recognize just a few of those essential entities and highlight just how much their dedication and resources make every aspect of patient care the best it can possibly be.
Last month, the dietary team with Chef Jeff Adams and Admissions/Marketing Director, Cherise Offenberger of Rockland Ridge, set out on a mission to give a heartfelt “thank you” to the staff at Marietta Memorial Hospital Belpre Medical Campus Emergency Department and the EMT’s at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center Ambulance Service.
The medicine team at the MMH Belpre Medical Campus Emergency Department gives our patients an advantage when it comes to access to life-saving emergency medical care. Their close proximity gives us the peace of mind that our residents will be seen and taken care of in a timely fashion. The staff members at Memorial keep the lines of communication open by providing us with important medical updates which allows our continuity of care to flow from each facility. It truly is an impeccable experience and a solid systematic approach to the level of care we are both able to provide to our patients and families.
The team at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center Ambulance Service provides an outstanding medical transportation service. Each and every one of their transport team members strives to provide a safe and warm transfer experience while ensuring the transition into our facility is smooth. We have watched them time and time again go above and beyond to be sure each patient is settled into their rooms comfortably. We have been overly impressed with the level of service they provide.
Chef Jeff and his dietary team prepared, from-scratch, meals for our healthcare friends at Memorial and Camden. Memorial received a perfectly prepared crispy chicken fillet topped with cheese, sautéed peppers, and onions, with barbecue and ranch sauces. The chicken came with expertly crafted sides of diced seasoned potatoes, sweet fluffy cornbread muffins, and a seasoned spring medley of fresh zucchini and squash. And, of course, we did not forget dessert! Jeff’s team prepared a decadent double chocolate fudge cake. Brittany Cunningham, BSN, RN, Clinical Nurse Manager of the Belpre Emergency Department, stated, “The team really enjoyed and appreciated it! Thanks so much!”
WVU Camden Clark received a homemade piece of Chef Jeff’s deliciously, flavorful meatloaf accompanied by seasoned green beans, mashed potatoes with gravy, and a sweet fluffy corn muffin. For dessert, the Rockland dietary team whipped up a perfectly delicious carrot cake.
It was our pleasure to serve those of you who provide such exceptional services to all of us! We cannot thank you enough and we plan to serve you again in the future!
With gratitude,
Rockland Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation
