Delivering Coffee & Christmas Cheer
January 9, 2023
Rockland Ridge teamed up with sister facilities, Waterview Pointe and Hickory Creek of Athens, to give our local hospitals something special for Christmas this year. The goal was to be able to give back to every single employee at these hospitals. Fire By Night coffee truck was the perfect way to bring a smile to their faces as every staff member in the hospitals could come out and get a specialty coffee on us!
A big shoutout goes to Linsee Thomas, who started the small business of her coffee truck and was eagerly up for the challenge. She got to work by setting up her truck and supplying specialty coffee to Marietta Memorial Hospital, Selby General Hospital, and the Marietta Belpre campus. The truck was a huge hit, and at Marietta Memorial alone, Linsee served around 190 cups of specialty coffee to their staff. For those who were not coffee drinkers, Fire By Night offered hot cocoa, which was perfect for a cold day.
All the employees, including nurses, doctors, janitors, dietary, case management, and more, were able to enjoy this Christmas treat. Admission Directors from Rockland Ridge, Waterview Pointe, and Hickory Creek handed out donuts and chatted to those standing in line.
We know that the holidays can be a hard time for some people and extremely busy for others, but we wanted to offer something that could brighten their day (or night) just a little. Using our Culture of Care, we strive to make an impact on not only our staff members and residents at the facility but our outstanding community as well. We hope everyone enjoyed the holidays as much as we did!
